Philosophy of Teacher Education
As a teacher educator, I am informed by a decade of teaching experience in diverse community and school settings, the arts-infusion movement, and brain-based research. I value teaching theory while providing opportunities for application to test those theories in action. I believe that educators improve most when we learn to receive feedback from administrators, peers, and students with open eyes, ears, and hearts. Above all, I try to facilitate an environment in which this kind of exploration and scrutiny feels practical, safe, and fun.
